Tinychat is a room-based platform for group video, audio and text conversations. Rooms host multiple people at once and the service supports broadcasting from webcams and audio alongside text chat.
The service is currently active and operates on a freemium model. You can use standard rooms for free; paid Pro, Extreme and Gold tiers add features like badges and promotion, and signing up is optional.
This platform suits people who prefer group-focused chat rooms rather than one-on-one random matching. It is relevant for users who want mobile access too, because Tinychat offers iOS, Android and web apps.

Safety and moderation
Tinychat provides a basic moderation mechanism and a way to report inappropriate webcam feeds. It does not offer account verification according to available information.
- Don’t share identifying documents or personal ID in profiles or chat.
- Use a username that does not reveal your full name or location.
- Flag any webcams or content that break the rules using the platform’s report icon so moderators can review them.
- Assume profile pictures or user claims are unverified and keep expectations cautious.
- Avoid sending money or gifts to people you’ve only met in rooms unless you understand the risks.
How Tinychat compares
Below are active alternatives to Tinychat that also offer social video or chat-room experiences. They can be useful if you want different features or community styles.
Verdict
Tinychat is a practical choice if you want room-based group video and text chat with mobile support. The live directory and group focus make it suitable for people who enjoy multi-user conversations rather than private pairings.
If you want true random one-on-one matching or built-in account verification, this platform may not meet those needs. Users who are sensitive to ads or to status-based premium mechanics should consider whether the paid tiers match their priorities.
Overall, Tinychat works well for social group chatting and those who want optional upgrades for badges and promotion. People looking for verified identities or pure 1-on-1 random matching should look elsewhere.
